Chef Symon’s latest book is a follow up to his previously titled 5in5. This book takes us through the seasons and also offers a holiday section. You are offered a lot of great recipes with minimal ingredients. I really love how most of the recipes are simple enough for most home cooks. I like the photography through out the book I just wish there was more. With the wide variety of recipes and ingredients offered. I can’t imagine you wouldn’t be able to find a dish to prepare.
The book is broken down into the four seasons and offers appropriate recipes for the ingredients that should be available. Even the pickest of palates should be happy. Some of the dishes that I look forward to making are:
Kielbasa with apples and onions
Pork with broccoli and cashews
Cauliflower and goat cheese gratin
Butternut squash couscous
Radicchio and endive salad
Parmesan zucchini fries
I wouldn’t hesitate to give this book to anyone interested in cooking. It is appropriate for all levels of cooks. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the blogging for books program.
