Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough have written a fantastic new pressure cooker cookbook. I recently bought my first pressure cooker, an instant pot. I had wanted one in the past but had been hesitant. Using their new book I made the best pot roast I have ever had. With the help of the step by step instructions in the book it couldn’t be easier to use.
The book starts out introducing us to pressure cookers. It is then broken down into 500 recipes throughout the following subjects.
Fish and shellfish
Vegetables, beans and grains
We prepared the balsamic and orange glazed chicken thighs and the classic pot roast and both turned out great. This really is a great book that should help anyone who is wanting to give pressure cooking a try.

The soup club cookbook is the perfect place if you have any desire to start a soup club. Most topics that would come to mind are covered in this book. Everything you need to know is covered in the getting started section. Pantry basics to tools the authors have set you up to succeed. All recipes yield eight quarts so they will have to be modified if cooking for only one or two people. There are over 50 soup recipes included so you are bound to find something new to try. The nice thing about the book is that it isn’t just soup. There are also recipes for salads and dressings, vegetables, breads, pastas and snacks. Not to mention many other recipes.
The recipes cover all of the seasons through the year and are broken down into sections.
I think this book would be great for any level of cook and would recommend it to anyone.
